What is this meeting about?

Join Caroline and Rachel from NN Group as they share their inspiring journey to pay transparency. The meeting will be divided into two main sections, each lasting half an hour.

We'll kick off with the journey itself, about what pay transparency is about for NN Group, focusing on the project itself, change management, as well as communication and storytelling. This includes moving from understanding the facts to having our stakeholders "singing the same song", and objectifying decisions with a solid narrative.

The second section will be Q&A, during which we'll address topics such as: project approach, practical obstacles (such as "vague" legislation), managing stakeholder expectations.

Key take-aways:

In a recent session led by Caroline Zegers and Rachel Toms, NN Group outlined its strategic roadmap to comply with the EU Pay Transparency Directive by 2026. The initiative spans four years and emphasizes stakeholder engagement, objective pay analysis, and centralized access to compensation data. The phased approach-Preparation, Implementation, Reporting, and Prevention-ensures structured progress while addressing challenges like legacy pay structures and communication gaps. NN’s values and behaviors are being leveraged to embed transparency into every stage of the employee lifecycle.
Key Takeaways:
  • Stakeholder Engagement is Critical: Early involvement of works councils and unions is vital to build trust and reduce resistance.
  • Phased Implementation Ensures Readiness: A four-year rollout supports structured adaptation and continuous improvement.
  • Centralized Access to Pay Information Builds Trust: A new platform empowers employees with transparent, accessible compensation data.
  • Objective Tools and Criteria Support Equity: Use of Bcom Pay Analytics ensures fairness in pay and career progression.
  • Legacy Compensation Structures Require Careful Handling: Clear communication and robust analysis are needed to address historical discrepancies.
