In this session, we focus on the HR to Business Handshake - a topic that is becoming increasingly critical for Automotive organizations navigating volatility, cost pressure, and heightened transparency expectations.
Recent geopolitical developments, including shifting trade dynamics and US tariff discussions, are forcing leadership teams to make faster, higher-stakes workforce and cost decisions. At the same time, our latest pay cycle has once again exposed where alignment between HR, Finance, and Business either enabled strong, defensible decisions—or created friction, inconsistencies, and risk.

Working definition – HR to Business Handshake:
The HR to Business Handshake is the shared process, ownership, and narrative between HR, Business, Finance, and Legal to make aligned, defensible workforce and pay decisions—balancing cost, compliance, performance, and feasibility, especially under uncertainty or disagreement.
In essence, it prevents the classic disconnect: HR doing the analysis, Finance setting the limits, and Business communicating decisions—without full alignment.
