There is a huge challenge going on, and organizing by skills might be the answer. Department of Defense wide and then both for inflow, advancement and outflow.
But in practice, how do you make sure you understand the potential of each? How do you collect the right data so you can support talent decisions and develop on skills to guide your workforce? Which skills are important and which are less so? Which ones can you teach inside or just outside the organization?
During this session, Casper de Nooijer and Andries van der Leij will take you through this case study at Defense. You will hear more about the thinking and steps taken on skills-based organizing. And we engage in a conversation with each other about this.
